Best so far:
Shotcut: custom video resolution
profiles, avi and mp4 export works.
Others:
OpenShot: limited
functionality, no video custom video resolution profiles.
Avidemux: only
useful for simple edit, or conversion.
VideoPad: works fine for mp4 export but not really free as they claim: license expires after 30 days. Also offers bundleware.
Lightworks: seems to be great but has limited export capabilities.
HitFilm Express: it is supposed to be easy to use and powerful but haven't tested it. Also might require paying for extensions.
Black Magic Design DaVinci: should be very powerful too but have not tested it.
